Ahsoka Tano Jacket
When Her Universe announced the Ahsoka Tano jacket, I was thrill! Finally, some recognition and representation of one of my favorite Star Wars character. There are plenty of Star Wars apparel out there, but mostly featuring the characters from the original trilogy or from the new movies. Our hero from Clone Wars and Rebels are not as prominently featured. There are only a handful of Ahsoka shirts, and that was all the options. No dresses, skirts, or other variety of tops.
Now thanks to Her Universe, we can show our love for Ahsoka with this faux leather jacket. The plum and gray color blocking design closely resembles her costume in Star Wars: Rebels. The Fulcrum symbol is subtly stitch onto the back of the jacket. A nod to Ahsoka's blue and white headtails is hidden in the lining. The jacket has 2 pockets with zipper enclosure as well as a removable belt. The belt mimics the design of Ahsoka's costume with a circular buckle. While I appreciate the option, the removable belt posed a problem for me when I wear my jacket open and unbuckled. Due to the weight of the buckle, the belt can slip down and fall off the jacket. It get a little annoying throughout the day, having to constantly check and make sure the belt hadn't slipped out of the belt loops. I'll probably sew the belt onto the jacket for security, plus I like it better with the belt than without.
It was really fun to style the jacket two ways. I wanted to show off how you can wear it casually or dress it up and be a little edgy with it.
For a casual look, I paired the jacket with black denim and an Ahsoka Tano shirt. I mean, how can I not take the opportunity to be a little extra and really show some love for Ahsoka?
For the dressy look, I wore the jacket with a black high-low skirt and black tank, complete with black booties. I actually really liked this look. The skirt and jacket combo made me feel fierce.
