Sneak Peek At Rocklove's Black Widow Collection
In a recent interview with Hypable, RoveLove Jewelry CEO and designer Allison Cimino talks about being inspired by female heroes and villains, selecting the perfect “Rolemodels” for her collections, and gave the a sneak peek at her upcoming Black Widow collection, inspired by Marvel’s Black Widow.
What I love most about RockLove Jewelry is that the designs are sophisticated while staying in the theme of the fandom. While I love a lot of the geek jewelry out there on the market, too often they look too much like “costume jewelry” and sometimes make my skin itch or break out. Every piece of RockLove Jewelry I own wears comfortable and doesn’t cause my skin to itch. Needless to say, each of them gorgeous.
While we’re unsure of when we’ll get to see 'Black Widow in theaters, Cimino teased on one of her IG stories that she had a meeting with Marvel to discuss the collection. And in the recent interview with Hypable, the sketches for the upcoming collection is revealed. Based on these sketches, I already know which piece I’ll need to save up to purchase. Let’s take a look:

I’m already obsessed with those Black Widow Hoops! I love the simplicity and the sublet tie-in to Black Widow. Black metal jewelry very much meets my aesthetic and those earrings are calling my name. I love that each set in the collection (so far) looks different. I love the use of the hourglass iconography for the red and black jewelry and of course the use of the spider.
Something to note - Cimino teases that there’ll be more Marvel x RockLove collection coming:
“I’ve been working on a jam-packed calendar of new releases featuring some of my top favorite characters, including mischief-making, mysterious, and outcast figures. I’ve been holding back and preparing a Marvel halo line since last year (2019), which is why fans haven’t seen much since the beloved Captain Marvel collection.”
When she dropped the phrase “mischief-making”, my mind immediately went to Loki. I would love to see a Loki collection with emerald and gold palette. With many more Marvel content coming to Disney+, we have much to look forward to from RockLove Jewelry.
