Magical Holiday Comedy "Godmothered" To Premiere On Disney+
We’ve seen our share of fairy Godmothers in classic Disney animated films such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty where they guide our heroine on her journey using magic to create enchanting moments, dresses (in blue and pink), pumpkin carriage, glass slippers, and more. In “Godmothered”, things are a little different.
Meet Eleanor, a young and inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training. Played by Jillian Bell (Brittany Runs A Marathon), Eleanor hears that her profession is facing extinction and sets out to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. She finds a letter from a 10-year-old Mackenzie (Isla Fisher) in distress. Eleanor tracks her down only to find that Mackenzie is now a 40-year-old single mom. Mackenzie has given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After” and Eleanor is determined to give her a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not.
