6 Things To Do At Universal Studios Hollywood's Holiday Celebration
The holidays are upon us, and Universal Studios Hollywood is in full celebration! From a topsy-turvey "Grinchmas" tree to a dazzling light show at the Hogwarts castle, there is so much to see and do at the park.
Here's our list of things to do when visiting Universal Studios Hollywood during the holidays.
GRINCHMAS AND TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
Your heart will grow 3 sizes once you visit Who-ville, where you can meet The Grinch and his adorable companion Max. The meet and greets are separate so keep in mind you'll be getting in 2 different lines to meet The Grinch and Max. Inside Whoville, you'll get to interact with the Whos including Mayor May-Who and Martha May-Who. And you can't miss the brand new topsy-turvey "Grinchmas" tree, standing tall at 65-feet. Watch it glitter and shine during the tree lighting ceremony
HOLIDAY THEMED FOOD
There is a lot of delicious food to be had during the holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood. You can find Who-Hash, Grinch cookies, and other festive sweets in Whoville. Or try the Holiday Dinner at Three Broomsticks, which consists of turkey, gravy, stuffing, Brussel sprouts, bacon-wrapped sausage, and cranberry sauce! Did we mention there's Butterbeer ice cream too? (Ice cream is not included in the Holiday Dinner)
HOLIDAY SHOPPING
What's a trip to the theme park without a little shopping? During the holiday season, check out the stores for Dr. Seuss inspired apparel, plushies, mugs, and more! Love the Minions from Despicable Me? Pick up a couple of Minion ornaments for your tree. Our pick? The Thing 1 and Thing 2 matching hoodies.
HOT BUTTERBEER
This is a must-have during the winter/holiday season while you're visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Cold and frozen Butterbeer is available year-round, but the Hot Butterbeer is a seasonal drink and is our favorite out of all the variations. You can find this delectable drink at the Three Broomsticks or inside the Hog's Head Pub.
FROG CHOIR
While you're visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, be sure to catch the Frog Choir as they bring in holiday cheers with acapella performances.
THE “MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS AT HOGWARTS CASTLE” DAZZLING LIGHT SHOW
This light-show spectacular is a must-see at Universal Studios Hollywood during the holidays. As night falls, the Hogwarts castle gleam in a magical light show using state-of-the-art projection, accompanied by flurry snow fall making this experience extra special
