Mulan Merch To Bring Honor To Us All
Disney’s live-action Mulan hits theaters on March 27th, 2020 and if you’re a fan of Mulan (animated or live-action), get your wallet ready because there are a TON of merchandise and apparel available.
ELHOFFER DESIGN
Embody Mulan’s warrior spirit in the Warrior in Adversity maxi wrap dress by Elhoffer Design. This isn’t the first time the geek fashion designer has released a Mulan inspired dress. Currently available on the website, the Warrior in Adversity maxi wrap dress resembles Mulan’s dress in the final scene of the Disney animated feature. Featuring teal blue bishop sleeves, royal blue skirt with white panels, red collar, and a pink and red wrap belt. Naturally, it has pockets!
ROCKLOVE JEWELRY
A collection with the force of a great typhoon! There’s not only one, but two collections celebration the release of the live-action Mulan. The first collection is already available on Rocklove’s website, inspired by the original animated version. The collection includes Cri-Kee necklace (currently sold out), Mushu firecracker necklace, Mushu medallion necklace in silver and gold, Mulan sword necklace, and sword earrings. It was so hard to pick out which piece I wanted because there is a second collection coming (more on that in a bit) so I ended up purchasing the Cri-Kee necklace and the Sword necklace.
So about that second collection, this one honors the live-action movie and will be available on March 16th, 2020 at 9 am PST. Set that reminder! This is the most different style from the rest Rocklove jewelry, in my opinion, and really stands out with the addition of tassels and fringes to certain pieces. The collection features a variety of earrings, necklaces, and earrings. If you think I had a hard time picking out what I wanted from the animated collection, I’m going to have a very hard time decided on which one I want from the live-action collection. All the tassel earrings look stunning, and there’s no way I’m not getting that Phoenix ring.
HOT TOPIC/HER UNIVERSE/BOXLUNCH
Want to add some casual Mulan inspired piece to your wardrobe? Hot Topic, Her Universe, and BoxLunch have you covered. You can find a variety of hoodies, shirts, tanks, unisex hoodie, and bomber jackets from Hot Topic and Her Universe. My favorite piece is the satin bomber jacket, with Hua Mulan embroidered in Chinese on the front, and a phoenix embroidered on the back. The interior also has Mulan’s name written in Chinese. I like the use of the bell sleeves in the lace-up hoodie, as it resembles Mulan’s soldier costume from the live-action.
From Boxlunch, you’ll find even more shirts and tank tops and a variety of accessories such as purses, backpacks, pins, and more.
DISNEY PARKS
According to AllEars.net, there are popcorn buckets and sippers available! I don’t usually purchase popcorn buckets because I’m already tight on shelf space but the Mulan popcorn bucket is so pretty it’ll be hard to pass up.
JEWELRY
According to LaughingPlace.com, Pandora will soon release Mulan inspired charms. There’ll be a Mulan charm where’s she’s holding the sword in front of her face, displaying half of Mulan and half of Ping, Mulan’s male alter ego with “Be Strong and Be Yourself” engraved on a dangle charm. There’ll also be a Mushu charm. Both charms will be available on March 12th.
Alex and Ani has a bracelet available on ShopDisney featuring Mulan (animated version) on one side, and “Live With Honor” on the other.
COLOURPOP COSMETICS
At the Mulan world premiere, Colourpop was there and gave guests a sneak peek at the upcoming Mulan collection. They showcased a lux liquid lipstick, lux lipgloss, and lux lipstick. The liquid lipstick is called “Strong Chi” and is a vibrant red. The lux gloss is called “Phoenix” and it has gold glitter, perfect for layer over any lipstick. Finally, the lux lipstick named after the movie’s heroine Hua Mulan. The shade is a peachy nude. The collection will be available on March 26th.
