The Sartorial Geek Editor's Box
A box full of geeky goodness curated by the boss babes at Sartorial Geek? Yes, please! Sartorial Geek founders Jordan Ellis and Liz Crowder Serota have attending many cons in their years. Last year, they created Sartorial Geek Boutique in an attempt to highlight some of their favorite nerdy artists and brands. This allowed creators and artists who couldn’t travel to conventions a chance to showcase their geeky merchandise and make some sales. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic, there are no conventions to attend this year. However, Liz and Jordan wanted to continue to support and showcase fellow nerdy creators so they pivoted from Sartorial Geek Boutique and The Sartorial Geek Editor’s Box is born.
Currently on Kickstarter, the project was fully funded with in 24 hour (way to go, geek community!) and now they’re focused on the stretch goal that’ll allow for more nerd brands to be included in the Editor’s Box as well as continuing to create these boxes in 2021.
So what’s in the box? There are actually 2 boxes! “Jordan and I are personally curating two quarantine survival boxes. In mine I’m going to put fantasy themed things, a book perhaps, maybe a literary candle, anything that guides you in your journey to escape your home. Not physically escape your home, but mentally.” says Liz Crowder Serota. “And mine will be a little bit less reading intensive, because that’s not really my thing, and more nerdy. So I’ll have a graphic novel and then some other fun things that you can do at home and enjoy when you just cannot leave your house.” says Jordan Ellis.
Sartorial Geek are working with FanMailBox, a fellow geeky business who has been creating fandom subscription boxes for years, to plan out and fulfill these boxes. Manufacturing and shipping have been experiencing extra delays because of COVID-19, but they're working with as many local brands as possible to minimize those risks. These boxes should ship in time for the holidays (within The United States), so they'll make a perfect gift for yourself or a friend.
