The first time I heard of Espionage Cosmetics was 4 years ago at San Diego Comic-Con. It was at the Her Universe Fashion Show when I saw their nail wraps on display. These aren't your everyday nail wraps. Espionage Cosmetics designs with us geeks in mind and each nail wrap design is inspired from every fandom imaginable. They're the official makeup sponsor for the Her Universe Fashion Show and after seeing and trying their products it's no wonder they are a trusted brand.
Aside from their popular nail wraps, Espionage Cosmetics have released eyeshadow palettes, lip blush, loose glitter, and more. While all of their products have received praise and positive reviews, it is the Cartridge Compact that has everyone buzzing.

Inspired by the 90s GameBoy cartridge, Espionage Cosmetics have managed to pull off the ultimate nerd collaboration. The compact is about the same size as the iconic Nintendo game cartridge and includes a mirror and space for two eyeshadow or lip blush. There's even room for two mixing areas to create your own unique lip shade. This is the perfect companion for every makeup geek.
The Cartridge Compact has gone viral since they posted a sneak peek on Instagram. After the overwhelming response, the compact has already sold out during pre-sale. CEO Jaimie Cordero has kindly given me a PR sample to test and review when we met at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Let's jump into the review.
First of all, this is one of the cutest packaging I have ever seen. The nostalgia hits hard with this one and makes me wish I still had my GameBoy. The compact is priced at $20.00 USD and there are two design - Legend and Blox.
The compact is the perfect size to throw into your purse. It comes with a plastic outer case so you don't risk it accidentally opening up inside your purse. If you choose to store lip blush in your compact, be sure you throw a travel-friendly lip brush in your purse unless you prefer applying with your fingers. The lip blush pans sits very secure inside the compact so you don't have to worry about it coming loose during travel. There are tiny pin holes on the back of the compact to pop out the pans when you're ready to switch it out. Did I mention the compact and makeup are cruelty-free, gluten-free, and vegan friendly?
As for the lip blush, this was my first time using it and I love the consistency and texture. The product lives up to it's name - literally like blush for your lips. For my everyday look, I usually opt a more natural look and the lip blush is exactly what I'm looking for. It's moisturizing and gives your pout the perfect amount of pigment and shimmer. It's not glossy or sticky, rather it enhances your natural lip color. It also doubles as a blush! How's that for multi-purpose? You can find the lip blush on Espionage Cosmetic's website for $6 USD.
